Shape your light with Light Modifiers
Light Modifiers, such as softboxes, beauty dishes, and umbrellas allow you to soften, harden, and shape the light. Deep softboxes focust the light forward, ideal for a high fashion look. Beauty dishes accentuate the cheek bones. Softboxes softnen the light for a versatile flattering light. Umbrellas, are the fastest to set up, and most cost effective, but are the least efficient due to some of the light being reflected out of the umbrella. Snoots control the output to a very narrow spot to highlight part of the subject, or lift the light level in one part of your shot.
